Jalan Productions
Jalan Productions (Jalan Distributors Pvt. Ltd.) is an Indian media and entertainment company headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, founded by Late Shyam Lal Jalan in 1962, with its first production venture titled "Dada Thakur" which was not only a revolutionary success but also won the prestigious President's Gold Medal conferred by Shri Jawaharlal Nehru.
This was followed by "Hanshuli Baker Upokotha" directed by Tapan Sinha received multiple accolades from the San Francisco Film Festival.
Produced by Shri Pritam Jalan, "Barood" starring Mithun Chakraborty ruled over the box office receiving immense success. Jalan Productions has succesfully produced movies starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Rituparna Sengupta, Raima Sen which received enormous love and gratitude for over half a century.
Apart from producing Bengali language films through it's banner Jalan Productions, Jalan Distributors is one of the leading Bollywood and Hollywood theatrical film distribution companies across the Eastern Indian states.
